We had an eight month wait for Kira to come into season again.
From previous seasons we know that Kira ovulates around day eleven. So, we took her to the Vet's for a few days stay where her progesterone levels were monitored daily.
When Kira hit the required level, everything kicked into gear. I personally delivered the semen to the vets where it was thawed.

A water bath is used to thaw the semen. 70 degrees C for 7 seconds. |

Kira was surgically inseminated as well as trans-cervically inseminated using a fibe-optic camera.
